Boats for Sale
Our Origins
The CYA was started by three active members of The Albert Strange Association as a means to focus exclusively on a small boat type which offers so much to today's cruising sailor. We encourage you to visit the ASA where we think you will find much of interest.

We’ve given this a lot of thought, and have decided not to operate a paid membership system, for the time being anyway. Instead, to raise funds for our publications and projects we will be offering a few things for sale on this site, and if we’re doing our job well and you would like to support us, you’ll be buying them! This frees us from some administrative chores. So if you chip in to our efforts with some words and pictures of your own, or are willing to buy from our ‘Store’ when we have it in place — consider yourself a member!

But we would encourage you to have a look at The Albert Strange Association, from which our ringleaders sprang, and in which they are still involved. The ASA covers the whole spectrum of the works of Strange, Holmes and Co, from a historical as well as a practical standpoint, and we think you’ll find it of interest; for just a tenner per year (pounds sterling) you get a magazine at least annually, and can call upon a wealth of experience, expertise and archive material through their (and our)  Technical Secretary, Rick Powell.
